MATERIAL LIST
FABRIC
44" wide heavyweight home decorator OR quilting weight cotton
(1/4) yard for exterior fabric
(1/4) yard for lining
INTERFACING
(1/4) yard of 44" wide medium weight fusible interfacing or fusible fleece
OTHERS
(1) 14mm Magnetic snap
(1) Spool of coordinating thread

Stitch the Exterior and Lining

1) Attach the magnetic snap onto the right side of the exterior front piece following the manufacturer's guide.

2) Lay the exterior front piece wrong side up. Fold dart line. Pin and stitch along the dart backstitching at both beginning and end. Sew the other side dart. Press the seam towards the outside. Stitch the back piece darts in the same manner. but iron it toward the center.

3) Pin and sew the exterior front and back piece with right sides together, making a "U" shape and backstitching on both ends.

4) Clip the curved seams.

5) Sew the lining in the same manner, leaving a gap for turning.

Sew the Flap

1) Place the flap lining and exterior with right sides together. Pin and stitch together, backstitching on both ends. Leave the top open.

2) Clip the curved seams.

3) Turn the flap right side out and press. Topstitch 1/4" away from the edge.

4) Position the flap onto the back of the clutch exterior with exterior sides together. Notch each center; align the notches to the center flap on the back of the clutch. Then pin and baste the flap and the clutch.

Assemble the Exterior and Lining

1) Press the exterior and lining seam open. Place the exterior into the lining with right sides together, sandwiching the flap and strap pieces between the two.

2) Match the side seams. Pin the exterior and lining together; sew around the top opening of the bag. Backstitch at start and finish. Notch the corner seams.

3) Turn the clutch right side out through the opening and stitch it closed.

4) Tuck the lining into the exterior. Press the top opening of the clutch. Topstitch 1/8" away from the top opening of the clutch.

5) Finished.
