Assemble the Pouch

1) Lay the zipper onto the exterior pouch piece with right sides together. You will be able to see the wrong side of the zipper. Pin the zipper and pouch piece in place. Stitch the two, sewing close to the zipper coils. Backstitch to secure.

2) Place the lining piece onto the zipper with right sides toward the right side of the exterior piece and pin together. The zipper will now be between the exterior and the lining. Sew the zipper close to the coils. Backstitch on both ends.

3) After sewing the zipper with the lining, flip the lining towards the exterior so wrong sides are together, and press. Topstitch the exterior piece close to the coils.

4) Attach the zipper to the remaining exterior and lining pieces in the same manner.

5) Open the zipper. Match the exterior pieces with right sides together and then place the lining pieces with right sides together. To make it easier to turn the pouch right side out, leave the zipper open when sewing around the bag. Pin and sew along the exterior and lining seam, backstitching several times over the zipper and leaving a small gap for turning.

6) Clip the curved corner seams.

7) Turn the pouch right side out and fold the opening seam allowance inside. Pin and stitch the lining opening.

8) Tuck the lining into the exterior.
