Underestimated the size of this bag. I usually make smaller bags so the 14" longer bag was wayyyy too big for me. However, the lower rating is really because bias binding is more work than necessary so I stitched the interior and exterior seperately and pulled it through so I have a nice clean finish. However, one side where the base meets the side is a bit wonky... The instructions are also super old school when it comes to zipper sewing; ie you are instructed to sew the zipper to the exterior first then come back and pin the interior and go back and sew. No one does that anymore :-/ I ended up not caring for the pattern at all so never tried the taller 11" bag.
